Home Tour: Landershire

We are so excited to show you our latest staging with Blank Slate! Originally built in 1977, this 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom house in Plano, Texas has been transformed by the husband and wife design duo-- Chayce and Hannah Wilson. This dynamic duo does home renovation full time in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth metroplex and the before and after photos of their projects are always dreamy.

Hannah contacted us from Blank Slate Renovations and she immediately sent over her mood board for the Landershire renovation. Our team instantly fell in love with the aesthetic and design and could not wait to stage this home. We decided on a mix of styles for a curated and ultra-eclectic space-- a mix of Mid-Century Modern style with a Scandinavian undertone and a hint of Texas. We styled using furnishings and accessories including a blend of patterns and textures, monochrome art, neutral colors, large house plants, worn leather, warm and cozy textiles, clean line furniture, and simple decorative accents.

To the right of the entryway of the home is the formal dining room. Blank Slate Reno made the focal point of this room a black board-and-batten accent wall complemented by the hexagonal LED Pendant. We staged this space using a mid-century modern style rectangle dining table, paired with gray upholstered dining chairs, and a statement horse head photograph in a wooden frame.

Here, the white walls, black fireplace, patterned rug, and gray sectional are met with mid-century modern style accent furnishings. The mid-century modern style pieces include the gray sectional with a chaise and modern tapered legs, wooden angled and tapered leg coffee table, and mid-century style leather and solid wood frame accent chair, and gold metal wall décor as a focal point.

The burnt wood wall décor beautifully contrasts with the white walls, while retro meets modern with the TV stand.

In the dining area we hung a bold, monochromatic cow head piece of art. The art is paired with a wood round mid-century inspired dining table, metal welded dining chairs, and an ultra large fig tree. On the tabletop, we used botanicals in vases to create a relaxed vibe, while adding a vibrant pop of color.

The bedroom features a low-lying wood and iron bed paired with solid oak wood nightstands complemented with retro brass lamps. In the bedroom, we kept the same color theme running throughout for consistency while the layered pillows play on pattern. We enjoyed styling the floating shelves with a little Texas flair!

Sunroom2.jpg

The sun room is perfect for the indoor-outdoor living spaces we often see in Mid Century Modern design. This room is multifunctional and has large sliding doors-- merging the interior with the patio, as additional seating and entertainment space.

The white brick is lined with two etagere bookcases and the black brick is accented with a gold mirror as a focal point to the seating area of the room. A leather slope lounge chair with a black metal frame make the perfect combination for a lounge area.

The sun room is layered with patterns, warm natural materials, and woven textures- the macramé wall hanging and floor poufs make the room inviting and cozy. The gold metal and glass bar cart set the scene for the best entertainment space in the whole neighborhood.
