Goldenrod Exterior

Home Tour: Goldenrod

January 7, 2021

This charming Goldenrod Lane home was built in 1930 in the Oakhurst neighborhood in Fort Worth. Renovated by Blank Slate, this home features new paint, floors, light fixtures, and updates throughout. Come along and tour this home to see the renovations and the premier Atmospheric Home Staging interior styling.

Upon entry, you are welcomed into the open and airy living room. The focal point of this space is the beautiful, marble tiled fireplace. The bright, white walls are the perfect backdrop for this beautiful gold and silver black framed abstract artwork. Playing off of the fireplace, we were going for an understated glam look- tufted sofa, luxe finishes, lots of visual texture, high contrast colors with the black and white, and a feminine accent color.

We could not get enough of this fireplace! The natural light in the living space paired with a roaring fire is at the top of the desires list, especially in those icy winter months. Blush + gray is a chic combo and we balanced the look with a charcoal gray rug showcasing an artisan, distressed pattern.

We brought in a gray, retro, mid-century, modern inspired sofa which sits atop a charcoal gray rug. The modern drum metal coffee table offsets the room’s feminine air. Throughout the staging we used subtle, dusty rose accent colors which were soft in contrast to the bolder finishes and colors used. Blank Slate has removed the sheetrock in many areas of the home which revealed a beautiful, hidden shiplap. On this shiplap feature wall in the living room, we placed a console with decorative accessories and hung a metal grid piece of wall décor.

The living room opens up into the dining room, which is definitely our FAVORITE room in the house.

Filled with natural light, we brought in a retro inspired table with angular legs. The hand-welded metal dining chairs adorned with a wire weaving pattern is the perfect pair to this mid-century influenced table design and faux hide rug.

Office

Office or bedroom? You choose, we staged this space as a home office due to the high demand of working from home. The office is directly off of the entry way and can be the perfect place to meet clients or have a quiet space to work. The wood and metal mixed materials desk is accented with sloped chairs wrapped in leather and a black metal leg frame.

We styled the space with a gray, platform bed and an eclectic yet neutral mix of textiles and finishes. Can you imagine falling asleep gazing at these shiplap ceilings? This owner’s suite is the perfect retreat! The husband and wife design duo of Blank Slate have completed another flip and we enjoyed staging it! Let us know what your favorite room is in the comments.
